2. Pick a goal
Get clear on what you want.
You won’t know what to do if you don’t know where you’re going.
It doesn’t have to be perfect, but pick what you think you want to do now and iterate later.
Set a long-term goal.
3. Reverse engineer it
This is working back from the end.
You break down the long-term goal into increasingly shorter-term goals.
This helps you to know what to do.
And it also ensures you move closer toward what you want.
4. Master digital writing
All content is based on writing.
I would pick writing as my niche if I were to start over.
Because your first niche is rarely your last niche, but writing is a still that will help you to dominate any niche you end up in.
Great writing leads to more growth, authority, and sales.
5. Build in public
Share your wins and losses.
People like to follow along with you.
It increases trust and makes people like your brand more.
Educate while you build.
6. Ignore 99% of creators
Most creators are incompetent.
There’s nothing wrong with that; it’s how we all start.
But you wouldn’t take diet advice from a fat person.
So only listen to the people you aspire to be like.
7. Invest in high-quality mentors
I used to be stuck on $5k/mo for a while.
I didn’t want to do cold DMs and sales calls and didn’t see a way forward.
Then I invested in a mentor and few mini courses and a week later I was at $10k/mo.
I also have complete clarity on my gameplan to get to +$30k/mo (without sales calls and cold DMs).

8. Competence is king
People pay you to solve their problems.
You solve problems by learning skills so you become competent.
Most creators try to skip this part because they want to make money on day 1, no matter what they need to do.
I took the slightly longer path by focusing on stacking skills.
It makes less money in the short term, but it makes much more in the long term.
9. Execute and iterate relentlessly
My biggest problem was that I didn’t always iterate fast enough.
If I had done that right from the start, I could have gotten to $10k/mo in less than half the time.
So execute relentlessly, but also iterate relentlessly based on what works.
It’s better to admit you’re wrong than to be wrong forever.
10. Stay consistent.
99% of creators quit.
So you can be in the top 1% simply by staying in the game.
So make the process enjoyable and commit to your long-term goal.
